My son is the most brilliant star in my solar system. We’ve always been on the same wavelength and I once took pride in my parenting style. His dad & I co-parent surprisingly well and we encourage open communication and critical thinking. When Hunter started to question his sexuality and came out as gay, at twelve, I was confident in my ability to “be the mom my kid needs me to be.” I have seen every episode of “Queer as Folk,” so I knew I was prepared! We embraced the Pride, bought the merch, and Hunter became the newest member of what he calls “the Alphabet Mafia.” Oh, how Karma loves hubris.
Very well written and really exposes the realities (and dangers!) of what the gender identity ideology is doing to our children - harming them! I blame the TRAs for their overzealous takeover of schools and politicians. They have entire systems believing that children are gender questioning, when really it's adults putting their adult issues onto children. I'm so sorry you are going through this, but I can tell you are a warrior mama and your child is in very good hands!!
I am right there with you. I can’t homeschool. I can’t afford to quit my job. I’m lost on how to help my child. The health professionals are a joke. My son is just another number for their cause. I pray Hunter comes around and that my own Derek dose as well.
